SUMMER ACADEMIC CAMP

Designed to practice all academic areas and teach specialized subjects for high level learning such as Speech/Debate, Current Events, and Essay Writing. Taught in small groups for individualized attention with fun and excellent teachers.

M / R PROGRAM   (this program will also continue throughout the IEPA School Session)

This program allows for high level practice of both Math and Reading at individual student levels. The focus is a Testing Style Approach which allows for practice and instruction within testing style questions.  This is a weak skill for all students and not well instructed in traditional schools.  Grading, feedback and on going individual instruction provides improvement and complete practice.  Continued practice is essential for maintaining the important skills for both Math and Reading.

WRITING BOOK CLUBS

 These small groups will read and study good literature. The novels will be used to practice literary reading skills including new vocabulary focus.  Each week, students will write an Essay with the novel study. Teachers will work individually with students to learn better writing skills though editing and re-writing essays for final grades each week.
